MILESTONES, GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Children three to four are beginning to engage in more cooperative play with their growing vocabularies. Play becomes more complex, and children begin extending their learning through dramatic scenarios (role-playing). Children are introduced to letters, numbers, and STEAM activities that will teach critical thinking and creative thinking and hone fine motor skills to prepare for writing.

  • Catches and throws a ball (overhand)
  • Uses stairs without support
  • Draw a person with two to four body parts
  • Uses scissors successfully
  • Draws circles and squares
  • Beings to copy some capital letters
  • Grow vocabulary to 500 words
  • Speaks in sentences of 5-6 words

  • Understand the concept of counting
  • Begins to identify numbers 1-10
  • Recalls parts of a story
