Starting school is a big moment for a child—and for parents too. At Central Jersey Enrichment Center, we understand that every child is different. Some children are excited right away, while others need a little more time to feel comfortable.

Our caring team is here to make the transition safe, welcoming, and positive, so your child can begin their journey with confidence.

A Few Simple Ways to Prepare
  • Talk about school: Share positive things about meeting teachers, making friends, playing, and learning new things.
  • Create a simple routine: Practice waking up, getting ready, eating breakfast, and getting to school before the first day.
  • Let your child help: Allow them to help prepare their clothes, backpack, or other school items.
  • Keep goodbyes positive: A warm hug, a reassuring goodbye, and confidence in your child can make the transition easier.
  • Give them time: Every child adjusts differently. We will be patient, supportive, and there to help your child feel at home.
